See Through Hair Pendant
Blue Bell Hair Pendant
Glass on Both Sides

Sterling Silver Bubble Glass

These pendants are sterling silver and have bubble glass on both sides.  The hair art can be seen from both sides if the hair art is not placed on a backing.  Though it does not show up well in the picture on the left,  this hair art design has jewels on both sides and can be seen from either side as they were created without being placed on a backing.  These pendants can be ordered in three shapes, the two ovals and a heart shape. The  hair art placed inside these pendants needs to be shallow as there is little depth inside.  They are about 1" in size.

The image of the heart has the hair art placed on a piece of mother of  pearl backing, so the art can be seen from the front only.  A picture or wording can be placed on the reverse when the pendants are constructed in this manner.

Rope Edge Pendants

These pendants have domed glass on both sides.  The hair art is placed on a mother of pearl background.  The reverse side can have either a picture or wording placed inside.  The designs do not need to be flat inside these pendants as there is some depth especially at the center.  These pendants come in a variety of sizes, shown is the 1-3/8" (pendant) and the smaller 3/4" size (earrings) diameters.

The cost varies with the size of the pendant and whether ordered in gold-filled
or sterling silver.  These pieces are also available in 14k gold as a special order.

Glass on Both Sides
Sterling Silver Deep Plain Edge Pendants

These pendants are sterling silver and have glass on both sides.  They have
more depth than the pendants seen above.  The size is approximately 1-1/4"
in diameter.  In these pendants the hair art is placed on mother of pearl.
A picture or wording can be placed on the reverse.  There is actually enough
room inside that another hair design could be placed on the back also.

The Back has both a bail and a pin

Sterling Silver Pin/Pendants

These pendants are solid sterling silver and have both a bail and a clasp for versatility in wearing as either a pendant or a brooch.  They are very substantial and have space on the back for engraving of names and/or dates.  There is depth for layered designs and the hair art is placed on mother of pearl.  These pendants were created specifically for my hair art and they are available in either the natural sterling finish or an optional 14k gold triple plate (shown in picture),

Picture Frames
The picture frames can be ordered in a very large variety of sizes and finishes.  No matter which size or frame design is chosen, they are ordered with curved glass and there is depth inside for the hair art.  The hair art is placed on mother of pearl in the smaller size frames and on a glass background in the larger sizes.

The final cost is determined by the size of the frame and the resulting artwork.  These are much larger and labor intensive.  The cost includes the framing.

If the art is created using the hair flower wreath technique, then the art is placed on
either a velvet or satin backing.
This technique uses much longer hair and would not be suitable for pet hair or fur.

Starting at  $400.

Antique Pendant

Antique or Custom Jewelry Provided By the Client

Hair art can be placed inside a pendant that the client sends me.  I place the hair art of mother of pearl for the backing and many very unique pieces have been made using antique or custom created jewelry pieces.
The cost varies with the size and complexity of design -
Averages about $200. to create art and place inside the provided pendant.

YOU pick the design to be placed inside.

The pictures seen are of past creations and show what hair art looks inside the actual pendant.

You may have most any design you choose.  If you have something that is meaningful to you or the person you are creating it for I can most likely create it for you, even though you might not think of it as being something you would have out of hair.  That is how the turtle, the squirrel, and the bear were created for example.  Specific flowers can be created to represent favorite flowers, or to symbolize birth month flowers.  All of these pieces are custom made to the client's specifications and desires.

If I am provided a picture or sketch of what the client would like to see created, it most likely can be done, or something very similar.

Any hair that is not used in the creation of these pieces is always returned to the client.
All pieces are custom made using the hair the client provides to me.  A lock of hair such as is saved from a first haircut is usually sufficient to create most designs

The sepia technique uses hair of any length, even extremely tiny pieces.

The sample you see on the right is approximately 2" long.

In general it takes about ten days from the time I receive the hair to create and finish a piece.  There are exceptions, but that is an average.  I will let you know the time frame at the time you order if it is different.

Some hair may not be suitable for some designs.  Very curly hair is difficult to use to create the Prince of Wales design for example.  Or the basket weave design also, as the hair needs to lay quite straight to create these two designs.  If the hair is too short or too curly, or not enough of it for the first choice of design, it can be made into another design of your choice.

My ordering procedure has been to ask for 1/2 of the total cost as a down payment at the time the hair is sent.  When I have completed the design I scan it, sent the picture to the client for approval, or changes, and upon receiving final approval I complete the piece and get it ready for shipping.  After receiving the other half of the payment cost I send the completed piece using Priority Mail so it can be insured and tracked.  This procedure has worked flawlessly for approximately twenty years.

I accept payment by check or money order.  If you prefer to use a credit card that can be done through PayPal.

Please do not send an order without contacting me first.
